REASON FOR LOSS:


Believed to have been the victim of a R.A.F. long range night fighter attack.

Uffz. Mielke managed to land his stricken aircraft at Flugplatz Nagold, but sadly died of his injuries the following day. Guenther Hassler was also wounded but survived this crash. Guenter went missing in action on the 28.05.1944 whilst flying with Hptm. Moelter.
